I was surfing around and found an article about budget brides. They suggest making your bridal dress out of toilet paper! Not sure how long the dress would last, but it sure is creative an inspirrering. The dresses were commisioned by "Lily" toilet paper, the leading brand of the Israeli company Hogla-Kimberly Ltd. Reas the whole article here.

Gilbert and George
How can you not like the whaky world of these two men? I don't wish to say a lot about them. Just look at their pictures and be inspired. "Art for all" is the belief that underpins Gilbert and George's art. Their trademark is the large grid, a square picture broken into sections that becomes a unified field of signs and images. They became famous for their living sculptures and films where they appeared themselves. They met each other at St. Martins in London and later said it was love at first sight. They got married in 2008. Notice the name of the pictures such as "our spunk" and "shitted". To see some of their movies or interviews, just youtube them.

HIV campaign
A friend of mine has designed a new campaign against HIV in Israel. Michelle is currently studing visual communication/Graphic designer at Avni Institute in Tel Aviv/Yafo. The campaign is a part of a project the students at the Avni Institute got. When asked what the thoughts behind the picture were, she said "I thought that having sex without a condom is the same as suicide".
Michelle and her fellow students' pictures are published at http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3808634,00.html

Nelly's Delhi loves Rankin
I can't get enough of the works of photographer, publisher and film director, Rankin. He established his reputation when he launched Dazed & Confused with his business partner Jefferson Hack in 1991. Rankin’s stunning style and his incredible eye for beauty have gained him a reputation as one of the world’s leading photographers. Rankin is addressing issues from domestic violence to body image in both his personal work as well as charity and commercial projects. He made headlines again with his campaign for Dove showing women who differed from the usual stick-thin advertising stereotype. He has also shot prominent charity campaigns for Amnesty International, Everyman, Special Olympics, Oxfam, Teenage Cancer Trust, Refuge, The Teaching Awards, Women’s Aid, Women’s Vote, Breast Cancer Awareness and Youth Music.
Rankin kicked off 2009 by inviting people across the UK to participate in his most ambitious project to date - Rankin Live! A show of two halves, Rankin Live brought the museum-scale retrospective of the last 22 years in Rankin’s photographic life together with the portraits of 1,500 of today’s British public.
Christmas wishlist: A photo by Rankin.

Lady GaGa naked for Vogue
Lady GaGa isn't a shy person, far from. The new issue of Vogue Japan features a naked Lady GaGa with bondage. The photoshoot took place in August when the singer was in Tokyo. The photographer is the Japanese Nobuyoshi Araki. Enjoy!

Tel Aviv street art
Like every city, Tel Aviv has its share of grafitti or maybe it's more in the direction of 'street art'. I love to walk around the city and find little statements, cuties like the chicken, walls with notes and drawings by people through the years etc.
Take a look at http://street-art-tel-aviv.blogspot.com/ for more street art of Tel Aviv or my fellow blogger and Danish friend in Israel Trinsch's blog http://etlilleoejeblik.blogspot.com/search/label/tel%20aviv

Paintings of Randi
I just went through some pictures from last summer and came across some paintings a friend of mine made, Randi. Randi Jensen Cohen is a great artist who paints beautiful pictures mainly on canvas. She's inspired of urban life (she lived in Tel Aviv, now Hong Kong) and nature or a contrast of the two. I love the colors and the childish style she has (i.e. the dog below).
Some of my faves
