Glam Grunge

This month you wanna get cosy in oversized jumpers and floor sweeping skirts. Pair the outfit with some wedges and a statement necklace. Keep either lips or eyes in dark colors such as black, plums and browns. Dark eyes, neutral lips, Dark lips, neutral eyes. Go for a messy hairdo. For AW 2010/11 designers such as Marc Jacobs, Dries Van Noten and Micheal Kors paired glamoures maxi skirts with oversized sweaters and beanies for a modern take on the 90's grunge. Though the Olson-twins are wearing maxi skirts and oversized sweaters I wont recommend this look for short people. It would only make you shorter. If you are small on top or bottom wear light colors. Are you big on top or bottom wear dark colors. Light makes bigger, dark makes smaller.

Inspired by...

Feeling pretty inspired by Keith Richards at the mo. He seems to like mixing leopard, polka dots, glitter and some "darker" stuff such as skulls, just like I do. My mom says you can't mix black and white stripes with a leopard scarf, well I think you can and apparently Mr. Richards thinks the same. Yay.

Hed Kandi Fashion

The most stylish name in house music has created an amazing line of party dresses with tons of details, oversized rings and necklaces, that when mixed will give you the perfect party outfit. I have to say, though I am in love with the dresses (especially the studded details), most of the jewellery isn't my cup of tea, looks kind of cheep. But the jewellery looks perfect together with the dresses on the model (as it usually does...).

You can buy the goodies here while listening to the tunes of Hed Kandi.

Alexander McQueen, RIP

Oh my! So happy that I'm not one of the stars and idols, cause it seems like all of them die or commit suicide. The late Alexander McQueen was found dead yesterday February 11th in his home in London. The Sun claims he hanged himself, but it hasn't been confirmed by the police. His beloved mother died the 2nd of February and it might be the thing that pulled the tricker. He was a great great talent! The pictures: 1-4: from his ss10 colelction, 5: his famous sull purse, 6: from his fw09/10 collection.

The office of Alecander McQueens made following statement:

On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family.

Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.

Erin Wasson x RVCA

The American Model Erin Wasson new collection Erin Wasson x RVCA - in collaboration with surf and skate lifestyle brand RVCA. The line will be available at leading department stores and boutiques worldwide. The pieces are very Erin Wasson og Alexa Chung-like. I like the loose/oversized tops and shorts combined with boots. Well done Erin!

Work that sailor shirt

The Breton stripe shirt (or the sailor shirt) originated in Brittany—a French province that occupies the peninsula between the English Channel and Bay of Biscay. The long-sleeved cotton garment usually has a boat neck and, traditionally, the stripes begin around the breastbone. Coco Chanel was the first designer to reinvent this shirt for women to wear. Today it's a must-have and it doesn't matter wether it's short, long, tight or loose. As long as you wear one, you're hot! Although this shirt is the perfect low-key option, remember it can also be dressed up with a skirt and a heel or tight knee-high boots for a sassy winter ensemble.

Outfit of the day

Rainy days can't stop me from wearing my dresses and ballerinas! This is the dress from "Searching for the perfect McCartney dress". Though it's fall, you can still wear your fancy dresses. Just pair them with jeans. Great for a casual, yet classy look.
1) Dress from Saint Tropez, 2) blazer from InWear, 3) jeans leggings from Gina Tricot, 4) bag from H&M, 5) Ballerinas from Vila.

Blazers

The perfect piece of outerwear for spring days and breezy summer nights is a blazer. If you still haven't got one, you better hurry cause everyone (Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, Nicole Richie, Lily Donaldson, Stella McCartney, Agyness Deyn, Kate Bosworth, the Olsens, you name them) is wearing a blazer this season. There are many styles to choose from; the tuxedo style, oversized version, long sleeves, short sleeves etc. Wear the blazer with jeans, leggings, shorts, dresses... and do like the a-lists by rolling up the sleeves and wearing a boyish hat.
